CAMPAIGNS and STATEMENTS

Ever since our founding as Women for Women’s Human Rights(WWHR) we have launched and/or undertaken the coordination of many national campaigns. Further information on these campaigns is available at our page on Milestones. In addition to these national campaigns we started and/or ran as the secretariat, we also support in various ways the many campaigns organized by women’s and LGBTI+ movements/organizations in Turkey as well as internationally.
Below we provide a representative list of some of the national and international campaigns and joint statements we have either coordinated or supported since 2016:

With women in the literary sector recently taking to social media to call out sexual harassment they have faced, cases of men sexually harassing women in different lines of work have also started surfacing. Available here is our statement, in which we advocate for a shifting of the burden of proof from the victim to the perpetrator taking women’s claims as a basis for future action, and stand by women raising their voices against harassment despite all kinds of pressure they face.
